Returning to University at 52

A deliberate return to learning.

At 52, I prepared for graduate entrance examinations and chose a new academic direction: tea science. The decision connected family experience in tea, a desire to contribute to my home region and a long-standing interest in technology.

I entered full-time graduate study in 2024. I am still a newcomer to the tea field—and I treat that as a reason to listen, learn and work from evidence.

The Second Half of the Marathon

The goal is not a dramatic sprint. It is to lose less pace in the second half.

Marathon running offers a practical metaphor for my next professional chapter: stay attentive to rhythm, continue learning and keep moving over a long distance.
